Atmospheric Characterization Workshop, April 1-3 2025, La Serena.
This meeting will focus on the real-time characterization of the variable aspects of atmospheric transmission at optical and near-infrared wavelength. Topics will include:
- Angular and temporal correlation functions for variable components of atmospheric transmission: water vapor, ozone, aerosols, clouds, and contrails.
- Measurement methodologies (photometery, spectrophotometry, mm wave radiometers, etc)
- Atmospheric modeling
This is intended to be a working meeting with afternoons set aside for participants to break into working groups to share detailed analyses.
Venue: The meeting will be held in the main conference room on the AURA compound in La Serena, Chile. The street address is 1500 Avenida Juan Cisternas, La Serena, Chile. Map to AURA compound is shown below. There is ample parking on the compound.
